The National Standardized Child Passenger Safety Training Program was
established in 1998 in response to a need for standardization and
quality assurance in child passenger safety (CPS) education. The class
consists of 40 hours of training and then ongoing continuous education.
Certified car seat technicians are available for car
seat inspections. It is best to call ahead and locate an on-duty
technician as inspections may only be done by a certified technician.
