-FIRE PREVENTION-
COMMERCIAL AND BUSINESS
INFORMATION

Southwest Adams County Fire has adopted the 2006 International Fire Code (IFC), as well as other applicable codes and NFPA codes.  Fire code enforcement, as well as fire alarm and sprinkler system planning, are based off of this code set.  The fire prevention bureau will be directly involved in your business's new construction, remodel, and/or update of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.  This is conducted via plan reviews, inspections, and code guidelines.

The Fire Prevention Bureau is also responsible for issuing permits for controlled burns and other special use situations.

Annual fire safety inspections are conducted annually at businesses to identify fire code violations, as well as potential fire hazards that may be present.
